Member VNA Offers Innovative Product Idea to VNAA
Membership
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Visiting Nurse Association of South
Central Connecticut (VNA/SCC) has recently begun offering the
Web-based products of Online Registries, Inc. (OLR) to the
public through a link on their Website (www.vnascc.org).
The products, electronic medical proxies and electronic
personal medical profiles, are marketed to consumers on a
private pay basis.
OLR Products for Managing a Family’s Healthcare
Information
OLR products are an ideal tool for consumers who want to be
empowered to manage their own or their family’s healthcare
information more proactively. For example, parents who want to
manage their childrens’ information and have it available for
school nurses or camp counselors and “sandwich generation”
consumers who also have to manage the care of their elderly
parents, can particularly benefit from these products.
Everyone can benefit from having a medical proxy readily
available in times of a medical crisis.
“At the recent VNAA annual meeting in Palm Desert, a clear
message that we took away from the whole week was that in
order for VNAs to stay viable and relevant, we have to look
for new ways to add value to what we offer our consumers and
augment traditional lines with new sources of revenue. The OLR
products are an ideal fit in these regards,” commented Andrew
Eaves, Vice President, Marketing and Development, VNA/SCC.
Benefits of Partnering with OLR
VNA/SCC would like to share this product with other VNAA
members to add to their product lines as well. Any VNAA member
can enter into an agreement with OLR to market their products.
Benefits to the home health agencies include:
-
Additional revenue generating product line
-
Complement to existing fee for service
programs and products
-
Assisting with solving the problem of
hospital readmission
-
No cost to begin getting involved
-
Simple tracking mechanism for commissions
-
Valuable safety net service for their
patients and families
-
An exciting new product that can generate
media and public interest
